Global Institute of Sustainability

In 2007, the first group of students at the new School of Sustainability at Arizona State University embarked on a unique educational odyssey. These students are our future leaders in the struggle to achieve sustainability in the face of challenging environmental, economic, cultural and societal needs.

The School of Sustainability, together with the Global Institute of Sustainability, engages students in INTEGRATIVE academic and research programs that embody:

• Collaborative Learning
• Transdisciplinary Approaches
• Problem-Oriented Training

The degree programs are flexible, interdisciplinary programs where students explore the multidimensional (integral?) issues of sustainability.
